Kindergarten to Grade X

St. Patrick’s High School offers a Kindergarten to Grade X program with fully certified Teachers. The school is affiliated to the CICSE at the class X level, but maintains its distinctiveness in charting a challenging curriculum for classes at the Kindergarten, Primary and Middle School levels.

Admission

Philosophy of admissions:

  • Admission cannot be claimed as a matter of right. Any attempt to use influence, unfair means or recommendation for admission, will lead to automatic disqualification. The school does not have any agents for admission.
  • Students seeking admission into LKG must register their wards for the same by the end of September-October.
  • Applicants must show developmental readiness and should meet the required age criteria
  • Students seeking admission into UKG to Std VIII must take a written entrance test. Selection will be made purely on merit.
  • The School will not, normally, accept new students into any class after the end of the first quarter unless extenuating circumstances are presented and approved by the administration.
  • No pupil will be admitted without the Transfer Certificate from the last school attended. The Transfer Certificate must be counter signed by the Inspector of Schools in case of those coming from States other than Tamil Nadu.
  • Eligibility:

    The applicant must have completed the under mentioned year of age as on 31 March of the year in which admission is sought as given against each class:

  • LKG - 3+years
  • UKG - 4+ years
  • Class VI 10 years
  • Admission procedure for LKG:

  • All students applying for LKG are screened, prior to the interview with the principal. Acceptance will be based upon school readiness as determined by the screening and interview.
  • Once testing is complete, a formal interview will be scheduled with the Principal, which must include the applicant and at least one parent or guardian.
  • Parents must carry original documents(Certificates of Birth, Baptism and Community)of the applicant at the time of the interview.
  • The results of the interview as to whether the applicant has been either offered or denied admission will be intimated in a week’s time.
  • Admission procedure for other classes:

  • Students applying for UKG will have to take a written test in English (alphabets),Pre-Math concepts (Number aptitude) and General Awareness.
  • Students applying to all other elementary classes (Std I – VIII) have to appear for a written test in English, Science and Mathematics. The syllabus for the same would be of the class deemed to have been cleared by the applicant as per the ICSE Syllabus.
  • The results of the entrance test as to whether the applicant has been be either offered or denied admission will be intimated in a week’s time.
  • Documents to be produced along with the registration form:

  • Duly completed Registration Form
  • Birth Certificate
  • Parish Card and Baptism Certificate (for Catholics only)
  • Community certificate
  • Ration Card
  • Aadhar Card
  • Applicant’s and Parents’ passport size photograph
  • N.B.: Only Photocopies of the above documents are to be attached with the original registration form. Originals are to be carried at the time of interview.

    Additional documents to be produced by students seeking admission to other classes:

  • Original Transfer Certificate
  • Duly attested copy of previous school Progress Report Card
  • Enrollment procedure:

  • The application is considered complete when all required forms are returned to the Admissions Office and the application fee has been paid.
  • Once admission has been offered and accepted, the parent/guardian must meet with the School Office to discuss all details pertaining to enrollment.
  • A student is not considered to be enrolled until the admission contract is signed, all feesare paid, and all relevant documents are received.
  • Fee Regulations

    For Kindergarten to Class X, the school fees are normally collected in 3 instalments. Fees must be paid on or before:

  • 1st Term - 1st week of June
  • 2nd Term - 1st week of October
  • 3rd Term - 1st week of January
  • A student joining or leaving the school in the middle of the academic year will have to pay fees for the whole year.

    There will be a hike in fees of 10 – 15% every year.

    Additional Fees

    Participation in age-specific competitive exams, miscellaneous field trips, Junior School picnics and outdoor education trips, special athletic/sports trips, costume and accessory costs for inter-school and intra-school culturals and special programmes, KG graduation and High School farewell are just some of the extra-curricular activities that may cost additional fees which will be collected during the course of the year.
